iPhone 'Find My' problem

I'm trying to share location with an old friend, someone I share with whenever I travel down to stay with her. Selecting her number brings up a message saying that 'it may not be associated with an iPhone' and that she may not be using 'Find My'. She certainly is (children and FIL).
Is there a solution to this please?

Instructions how to use iPhone's Find My to share with friends are https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/ipha5f04100d/17.0/ios/17.0
Not sure what you are doing given the comment of "select her number" unless you mean you are selecting their contact card in Contacts0 -

Thanks. My friends number is saved as +447 as are all the others in Find My and her texts are blue. And definitely an iPhone!0

are you able to share your location with other people?0

Go into Messages, are messages to her Blue? If so try sharing your location from messages (Press + , then Location) Does that work?0

Thanks all, my friend and I both rebooted our phones and it worked.Yes, her messages are in blue and we both have family and friends sharing via Find My. It was most odd for a see while. We'll stop sharing locations once I get back home.0
