To be fair, your GP should probably be telling you as well, but it's always worth checking yourself. Thanks0

You have to tell them if you have Déjà vu. I remember reading about that some time ago, or I'm sure I did0

There is a longstanding issue with GPs being reluctant to do the full process of DVLA licence removal, especially for old people who could lose their independence. They often just fudge it and suggest to the patient that maybe they should consider it, rather than taking the step to force the DVLA to revoke itBigphil1474 said:To be fair, your GP should probably be telling you as well, but it's always worth checking yourself. ThanksSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

It could be a double whammy because if you have these undeclared illnesses you may not be insured ??0

For most of the common things, it comes down to following the advice of your medical professional. I would not tell the DVLA anything unless my doctor or nurse advises me that I shouldn't be driving.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
The DVLA currently sell your Data to unregulated parking companys which brings them in millions of pounds at £2.50 a pop.
I wouldnt give them the time of day .0 -
I also "could be fined £1,000" for not having a TV Licence but I don't bother and believe the average fine if caught watching BBC/live TV/iPlayer is actually less than the licence fee.
Sounds like a hollow threat not a serious issue for most.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
Ive been type 2 diabetic for 30 years , DVLA "no action required"
had a heart attack/stent, DVLA informed, not intrerested
passed my HGV group 2 medical after the HA, and cataract last year, no problems
but anyone can drop down dead, fit/young or old0
