Can't download latest adaware

Have tried several times to download the latest free version. The process starts off ok and then a word document opens up with all rubbish on it (wrong format). I'm windows 98
Please does anyone know why this is happening. Any ideas

The company behind Ad-Aware, lavasoft.de, have a link on their site to download the new free (for personal use) Ad-Aware SE Personal v1.06 from Download.com. I assume this is the link you are trying to get it from?0
