Assent and forms required

Hi
I am in the process of applying for probate as my father passed away and I am named in his will as the beneficiary of the house. I used to live with my father and intend to therefore still stay in the house and not sell it on. 
I wanted to know then what I would need in order to put the house in my name? A quick look online seems to suggest filling out the AP1 and AS1 and the accompanying fee but I am not sure about whether or not the ID1 needs to be filled as in some parts it suggests just sending off the probate information but in the section for the ID1 it suggests that it must be filled and needs to be signed then by a professional.
Also where are the fees payable as I came across two fees one stating if done electronically but all the forms I am finding are clerical so is there a separate payment section first?
If anyone could shed a light on this then please do. 
An additional query in this, if I am filling out these forms now anyways, I was thinking of adding my wife onto the deeds of the house as well now so that it is jointly owned by myself and her. Our thinking is it would save her hassle of having to go through these same forms if something happened to myself as I understand that would just then require removing a name which seems easier and requires no fees. If I was named as sole beneficiary of the house in the will, then does this joint naming affect the will in any way and also are there any issues in placing it joint ownership (with regard to the forms that need to be filled then)?
