I've just picked up another water butt and I need a part to allow the feed from the drainpipe to the existing water butt to now 'divert' into each butt, so some sort of diverter part.
Hope it's clear what I'm looking for?
I've looked on various sites, plenty of such items, but a lot are screw threaded for use in domestic plumbing / washing machines etc. my existing butt pipes are locked using 'jubilee' clips.
I was wondering if any member had the same issue and how did they solve it, preferably with the same type of part that I require.
Thanks for any help.

I think what most people do is connect the water butts directly  to each other by a hose (there are "water butt joining kits") this allows both to fill up from the same downpipe. If you put it near the top of the water butts then  you don't need to drain the old one to fix it, when the old one gets full it will overflow into the new one. Some people put the connector at the bottom but it relies on really good seals and you have to drain the first one to do it .

As above, just join them together and not worry about double diverting form the down pipe. Any tubing will  do as well, you don't need to use the black ribbed type. I've used standard clear 2.5mm ID tubing before, there might be a plug on the side of your water butt, if the pipe you'll use is smaller than the hole, drill one the right size. Keep it at the same level and you should avoid having one butt lower than the other and the diverter not doing it's job.

I've put a Y splitter in my fill pipe, it was from a camping / caravan supply shop - they use the same size flexi tube in caravan water supply.
