Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
It is forecast to be another sunny day.
I am off with friends for lunch at a local community centre, so no cooking for me tonight.
Hope you all have a good weekend. xx10 -
I had only one student yesterday, extra time and a laptop too. He was the one who had the nosebleed the other day, this time I was issued with a bag of paper hankies and gloves. 😂 No nosebleed!
My gardener texted me about coming over to do some work so I was delighted to see the grass cut again and more stuff cleared. The bluebells are in full spate, even my beloved geums (Mrs Bradshaw) are starting to bloom. Bluebells are out in all the grass verges and woodlands, the slew of flowers from winter to now are so lovely to see. Snowdrops, daffs & crocuses, wild garlic and bluebells keep coming. My garden is also full of Welsh poppies and a couple of hardy wee fritillaries too. This morning I have a plan 😀 pick up some meds, pick up a couple of tasty cakes to take to a friend up road, tidy up the blooming coffee table (again) and then settle down for double Dr Who. I can do without Eurovision these days, I'm too old a fart for all the screaming shouting from the audience.@Ruby - good to hear that you've turned the 'on the mend' corner. Slow but sure.@Allie - I hope that you can begin to taste and smell again.Hugs to all. Enjoy the sunny weather, if you have it.9 -
Morning All
It's a lovely morning, the windows are all open to let some fresher air in, it got quite warm yesterday and the house feels stuffy. Just last week I was lighting the stove in the evenings to keep warm!
No washing to do today, it was all done yesterday. I've cleaned the bathrooms and may have a dust round later (or may not).
I've to go up to the allotment to plant some more peas and beans that have decided to grow now. If they carry on I'll have to buy another freezer!
Glad you're on the mend Ruby.
Enjoy Dr Who Gers.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better.
Must do some shopping and visit the library too, I've finished the books I took out last week.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX10 -
Hi all
Another one that woke early cos I was warm (not complaining!)
Thanks @Gers, Dr has confirmed that they'll put through an ENT referral but it'll likely right itself before that comes to anything. Just a waiting game.........think I'll live on ginger and cinammon things cos they're the only faint tastes I can get - oh and spicy lime pickle!!
Just off to a boot sale for a mooch - it's a big one and so many have been cancelled that it's nice to get some dry weather.
Possible jet washing and wood cutting later (the latter for crafts) - we'll see. DM has requested a BBQ so I've got chicken marinading for chicken and veggies skewers.
I'm sure lots saw some aurora last night - some great photos from neighbours here in the Midlands, I peeked out at about 11pm but my view North isn't great and I think it was just after that time that it peeked.
Have a good weekend

Morning allQuite misty this morning but it's due to brighten up later. Jet washing the patio etc today so expect to be in the shower very soon after!Am so jealous of all the people putting pictures up of the Northern Lights down south here. They are on my bucket list to see.I've seen the adverts for Dr Who and am tempted to watch this series. Tom Baker will always be my favourite though, although David Tennant comes a close second!Hope everyone enjoys their day, take care x8

Morning everyone
Lovely blue sky and sunshine here. We've had lovely weather the last few days - fingers crossed it lasts all weekend.
I'm going to walk along to Homebase for some plants this morning...ready for some garden pottering later.
I'm stewarding this afternoon for the film about Amy Winehouse - I'd rather be out in the sun, but it can't be helped. I'll be straight back outside when I get back home.
I'm best get on - hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all
Beautiful day here and quite warm already, I am feeling better again this morning but still not 100% I will get there, this is certainly the worst covid I have ever had I still have no taste or smell so I feel your pain AA.
Wont be doing an awful lot today as not up to it yet but I need to help a bit with some housework we have not done much all week and it shows ! And I need to water the garden after that I shall probably retire to bed and watch a film for the afternoon.
I missed the Northern lights last night but will look out tonight although I have been going to bed at 8 😂 so probably a bit early for them.
Have no idea about dinner I’m still not eating a lot, wm is on with OH work clothes and another load to go in after.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
