I think there are a number of potential issues here. Some mentioned above, eg copyright issues, content of the text (possibly asking for pictures of the children)

Project Linus is not a charity but what’s known as a Community Interest Company (sometimes called a Social Enterprise). It’s a normal company but the profits go to the cause set out in the company’s constitution. Unlike a charity, a CIC can’t fundraise and doesn’t have any of the perks of charitable status but is simpler to run. It’s possible someone took objection to text or the PDF that made it seem like its status was being misrepresented. 

Are you able to post a picture of the PDF here and a copy of the text?

It's not what you have said which is a problem, it's the posting of the PDF which I presume was part of an instruction manual.  That manual is owned by somebody and can't be reproduced without their permission.  Doing so without permission is Infringing Intellectual Property Rights.

EDIT:  I also routinely add PDFs of free patterns available  from various websites and blogs that have logos and company names on them.

Just because they are available  as free patterns it does not necessarily  mean that you are allowed to distribute them

Thank you , I hadn't thought of that.

FB has not had a problem with them so far though.

Yes, Linus is a CIC, I used the term charity as a more commonly understood term.

The poem has been on all 6 previous versions of the label kept in our Files. 
The only change to the label was the email address of the coordinator. 
At the moment the PDF and post  (the third post) has not been deleted and is still in our Files and the fourth post with no PDF was deleted and I was suspended.

I still haven't heard what my transgression was exactly, but have renamed the file just in case. If this is not removed I will add more in the comments later.

There is no mention of the 'L' word in my post either   -

I renamed the PDF by underscoring between every word, but it still included the work Linus.

In the end only Faceache can say/confirm why they took it down.
(and then suspended you, presumably for reposting it).

And as you are no doubt finding out, - good luck with even contacting them let alone getting anything meaningful out of them at all.

PS, Are you in contact with other Linus groups, are any of them having similar issues?

Peanuts Worlwide LLC have been known to have trademark/copyright crackdowns in the past.

I will ask if anyone has had any issues with them as more and more areas are starting FB groups and pages.

Project Linus did originate in the US, named after Linus with his blanket, in the mid 90s; then came over here in 2000 I believe.  We know that we cannot use any images from Peanuts, but I'm sure that PL in the US would have ironed out any wrinkles when they decided to use Linus in their name.

I'm in FB Purdah until late tonight, so let's hope that I'm not put back on the naughty step!
