Not too sure about the paint on the walls as the grease from the candle wax may already have left a mark. But for furnishings. clothing & any hard surface you can remove candle wax by using an old towel laid over the wax & an iron set on low/medium heat & ironing over the wax spill. By doing this the wax melts with the heat from the iron & gets absorbed by the towel.
Be careful not to let the iron touch the furnishings involved as it could burn them. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Would ice cubes be cold enough to release it - they work on chewing gum stuck where it shouldn't be.
& candle holders placed in a freezer let you get the last unburned wax out of them, once frozen.

only problem is wax may have penitrated more porus surfaces and you may still be left with grease spots! you may need to paint or restain surface once wax is removed.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
