Scottish power failed service

Due to careless and irresponsible attitude of Scottish power, electricity meter wrong serial number issue, no resolution has been made, we have escalated with Ombudsman but he is been fooled by SP requesting date after date (extension) no resolution is made since past 1 year 2 months.
March 2023, SP Engineer visited our site and changed to smart meter as our request and mistakenly updated with wrong serial number. As soon as we came to know, we have complained to SP and they were pushing on the dates, finally reported to Ombudsman, he is also given dates by SP to finish the job but extend subsequently, it is going on half a dozen times... 
I don't know what to do?

    Have you been back to the Ombudsman to make the point that there have now been numerous extensions granted, and the times on all have been missed, and that you would now like them to push SP with a final deadline for resolution?
