i have someone who will be doing some work for me so i will be paying for the calls they make on my behalf. Cable and Wireless had (or may still have) a system where you type in a pin code before each call and when your bill comes in the pin-coded ones are indicated.

The problem is she is on BT, i am not aware they are on that service, does anyone know?

if not i'll have to use the call charge service that rings back after each call but that is not as ideal

If you trust her not to make calls for personal use, couldn't you have her dial one of the cheap call provider access numbers - maybe keep it seperate to your normal one for ease of viewing? Such as 1899 or 18866?? I'm not positive, but it might even be possible to view calls made from each number you have registered with them so you could use it alongside your own numbers. That way you don't even have to reimburse her! If you don't trust her of course - have her set up her own account and refund her bill once you are happy with it.

I'm assuming here you know a little about what I'm talking about! If not, reply and you'll get a lot more detailed post!!

I think the OP means she will be making the calls on her phone & not his, but your advice is right, get her to register with 18866 & you'll be paying just 2p per call if they are UK geographic numbers. She may even thank you for it.

hadn't thought of that, if she dials 18866 for all business calls i can pay her total bill for her. its not a company a i know much about so would be grateful for a more detailed response.

If you scroll to the top of this page you'll see the link to Martin's cheapest calls article, or just click here.
I'm using them for all my calls after switching back to BT from NTL, 18866 also has a sister company 1899 who have slightly different rates, most notably 0p a minute (3p connection) to Germany. The missus chatted away for 90 minutes to her old shoolfriend in Germany last week for the grand total cost of 3p. :money:
