Morning all
Another very early start to the day. Looks like another lovely one though.
@Gers yes I did get my lavender plants, thanks for asking. I also found some poppies growing in one of my baskets, no idea how they got in there lol. Have re-planted them into the garden.
Housework today and, hopefully, a nice sit out in the garden with my new Val McDermid novel in the sun this afternoon.
RR hope you're feeling better. I'm not old enough for a Covid jab this year as they've upped the age limit.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning All
It's been raining overnight but looks promising, I've put a white wash on the line so hoping for some sunshine!
Hope you're feeling better this morning Ruby.
Has anyone heard from nmlc? It's ages since she posted on here.
How's the rash Nanny?
Nothing of note happening here, just plodding along! Work is steady at the moment but all will change tomorrow when the parents night appointments go live.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Chrisca. I just wrote a long post, went to check another website and accidentally closed MSE! I'll write more this afternoon. The ground is damp and the sky is grey, I've got the living room light on, but it's warm. Like a dogs nose! This morning I'm invigilating again. I too have a new audio book to listen to, not Val McDermid but JM Dalgleish. He has a detective on Skye.I hope that everyone is on the mend and can enjoy their day.11

Thanks Crisca for the start off and good morning to all. I've had a rubbish night with no sleep at all so far, I shall be hanging by lunchtime.
Yesterday I got a lot of sorting and decluttering done, more tops ready for the cs and then I also tackled the craft drawers when I threw out lots of stuff including many colouring pencils with a bundle of them going to the cs too. Sadly the DGC no longer want to "colour with Nanny" because they are far to old for that now they are teenagers 😢. I even washed my fluffy long duster after using it on the downstairs skirting boards.
Today I want to do some washing as the basket is full and the sun is out so hopefully it will all dry. I might be able to get a nana nap after lunch if the itching dies down a bit, night times are always the worst. I g00gled it and it seems to me it could be eczema, great, something else to add to my ailments list. Maybe it's stress related.
Hope you all have a good day. Take care all

Morning folks and thanks CHRISCA. A cloudy but warm start for us with sunshine to follow. I'll get some washing on next job.
Yesterday bus buddy and I had a change of venue! We decided on Ilkley for a change and it felt lovely wandering around in the sunshine without being bundled up in raincoats. We had a nosy in a few cs but of course they were all asking silly money for stuff. We had a lovely lunch, followed by much chatting and reminiscing over our bottle of wine.
I must get my industrious head on today and bring forward the Friday Tidy as I have decided to have a week up at the caravan from tomorrow.. Hopefully the sun will keep shining over the w/e before the inevitable rain is back on Monday!!
Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. NAN I hope you manage an afternoon nap if the itching subsides. Take care all and be safe xx

Good morning, thanks for starting Chrisca.
It's fine here, the sun is shining!
You've been busy Nanny, don't do too much though.
Ruby, Hope you've started to feel a bit better.
I went to Do*bies yesterday to meet my friend, (didn't fall asleep on the bus) and we enjoyed a good natter. I was so tired when I got home at lunchtime, I felt bone weary after my run of bad nights, so I did nothing all afternoon except read. Husband made his own evening meal, I couldn't face anything, but I feel ok this morning after a better night.
It's hairdo day today, I look like what Camelot would call a burst couch!
I've wondered about NMLC, she hardly ever missed a day, Hope she and her family are all right.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Had a lovely day out at Boscobel House yesterday and visited the Oak where Charles II allegedly hid (I think he allegedly hid in lots of places!) - lovely sunshine, shorts in and first picnic of the year!
I’m invigilating too just for a couple of hours this afternoon

Thanks Chrisca , it's dry and warm this here morning, I might even need to water the pots I planted up the other day.Nan , eczema is horrible, it runs in our family so I sympathise.RR hope you are improving.TA, hope the nice weather lasts for your holiday, enjoy the break.I seemed to spend half the afternoon on the phone yesterday, first my cousin rang, then I spoke to our friends, who are fed up with jobs going on at their house. They are taking the floor up in the kitchen and utility to put more insulation down, and underfloor heating. Its a very old house and freezing in winter with oil heating which is so expensive. The kitchen part is done now but it's been very messy, and then it will need redecorating. She's very fed up with the dust.DS was out in the camper and on his way back last night when he rang DH to say there was a problem, they think it's the alternator so that'll have to be booked in somewhere today. He did manage to get home, and the battery charged overnight so hopefully it can reach the garage ok.We'll pick up DGS later and take him to DS2s ready for football training, they have a cup match on Saturday. It's being played at DS old high school so that'll be interesting going back there after 20 odd years.I'll probably cook a chicken for tea later, and I think I'll need to make another loaf.Take care and have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Lovely blue sky here this morning.
I spent the afternoon in DDs garden yesterday - it's now weed free. I also mended the bottom of a big wooden planter that was already there - she just needs to buy some compost to go in it. I picked little one up from school then sat in the sun while she played on the climbing frame with some of her friends. Then after tea I had a potter in my own garden.
I have a few jobs to do this morning then I'll walk down to work, little one to pick up again afterwards, then that's my duties done for this week - though no doubt she'll be here at some point over the weekend.
Hope everyone has a good day today xx
