VoyagerRaf said:I got a letter from court confirming acknowledgment of me defence. A couple days after another letter came copy of N180 filled in by Parkingeye - showing they ticked "yes" answering question if they agree to this case referred to the Small Claims Mediation Service.
I have not got any form to complete at this stage and actually I don't know at this stage if I should do anything?
You were expecting that weren't you?
Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.3 -
Thank you Keith. There are so many info here, very helpful but also not easy staying on the track when there is so much time between stages, I needed to go through the threads again to remember all.KeithP said:VoyagerRaf said:I got a letter from court confirming acknowledgment of me defence. I did expected to get N180 as a copy to be filled in by myself so I have been waiting for mine. Nothing has arrived so far. On my MCOL history also not a trace N180 has been sent to me already. Last updated info there says "Your defence was received on 30/05/2024" so maybe I'm impatient and it takes much more time or maybe I should now download N180 by myself and send it as desribed in 12 steps?0 -
Have another look at that checklist. I only quoted part of item 7 on that list. Please read the rest of it.3

I have tried to find any new posts in here re new N180 form uodated in June 2024 and nothing comes up. I have not received my copy of N180 yet but decided to download one and indeed, it's updated. Generally it does not ask whether I'm happy to proceed with the mediation or not but rather demands it and asks for my contact details, availability and suggests in the printing comments if I fail to attend the mediation, the judge may rule in favour of the claimant which is Parkingeye.
There is 1 question there I would need an advice on please:
D1 Do you consider that this claim is suitable for determination without hearing, such as by jusge reading and considering the case papers, witnesess statements and other documants filed by the parties, making a decision, and giving a note of reasons for that decision?0 -
You should be waiting for the N180 to arrive in the post, then look at it to see if its the new version or the old version, because the answer to that conundrum will determine which version you should be using, especially if its the new version in the postIf its the old version, offering mediation or not, choose notIf its the new version, you dont get a choice , you get a free mediation interviewLook for the recent posts about it, like the one belowAlso check the posts by Grizebeck and Ldast tooNB, the pilot scheme was running for a few years, but is supposedly mandatory from may 2024The old version of the N180 was provided in a download link. The question is how long should I wait for the form to arrive by post ..? Or maybe I should email them to chase..?0

Didn't we discuss this just four days ago?VoyagerRaf said:The question is how long should I wait for the form to arrive by post ..? Or maybe I should email them to chase..?
At that time I suggested to go and look at the sentence that has be added to item 7 on that checklist you were following.
Here is the bit I was talking about...
YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT TWO MONTHS OR SO FOR THE NEXT STEP TO HAPPEN:
As you told us that your Defence was filed on 30th May, there should be no great expectation that a DQ will be sent to you anytime soon.
Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CNBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back at the CNBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course?2 -
That's covered already in the NEWBIES thread. And as I said to you on the other thread you posted on, I got 13 results doing the forum search I suggested. Try again.VoyagerRaf said:There is 1 question there I would need an advice on please:
