TT phone ring

The phone ring which we are all used to is ring ring pause, ring ring pause, etc.
But last year, TT notified me that they were going to do something in the bt exchange that would be an improvement. I've not noticed any difference , however with one exception. The telephone ring is now ring pause, ring pause etc and we don't like it. At least with the old ring, we didn't miss calls, now with a single ring followed by a slightly longer pause, we do. TT say there's nothing they can do about it. Any suggestions?

Change back to BT (with which you have far more choice anyway).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

I forgot we had an extension upstairs, so will plug a phone in up there. With two phones downstairs and one up, that shouldn't affect my broadband connection should it, it will be three rens +BBThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
