Does anyone know of any charities that take old or worn clothing?
My OH works with glass so a lot of his clothes get holes in them from snagging it on the glass so i couldn't give them to a charity shop to be sold but thought they might be some charity that donates clothes to poorer countries just to help them stay warm?

all charities will take worn clothes... they do not give them to poor countries, they sell them on per kg....which are then sorted into grades... nad the grade a will then be sold abroad.... the other grades will be turned into rags... etc....
i know this as i work in the textile business...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Round here there are two charity shops that will take any condition clothes, one is Sue Ryder, they can claim tax back on donations if you are a taxpayer, and the other is the Cancer research shop, all the other charity shops are very fussy about what you can donate.0

I believe it's helpful if you mark any bags of stuff which can't be resold as 'rags', but we can also leave these in our recycling box, or take them to the tip where there's a special place for them!Signature removed for peace of mind0
