Donation of prizes for charity

top one I always see is a voucher from a top restaurant for dinner for 2 or for a £100 voucher to be spent there. And then lower limit ones, £50 at the local family restaurant, £20 at the fish and chip shop. etc. sometimes the top prize will be cash with the hope/expectation that the charity will get a nice donation (50% of the prize is common)
Tombolas are also very popular. Do one with a number of bottles liquor or fancy wine to be won (donated by local shops/pubs/supporters), some bottles of beer, shampoo and every ticket gets a chocolate from an Aldi selection box.
Too late now to organise a plant sale. You could wait for autumn and have sales of jams and pies. Bake sale with a coffee area.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I'm raising money for Kidney Research UK doing a fundraising afternoon and looking for prizes to do a raffle. I’m struggling for ideas has anyone got any suggestions or ideas?
The best return for the charity is from prizes that have been donated.
Assuming this is to be a small raffle simply held at the event, then the amount raised by selling raffle tickets may not be significantly impacted by the value of the prizes.
That dynamic changes if you are running a bigger "lottery" raffle with advance ticket sales and such like.1 -
Always worth contacting local attractions, eg swimming pools with fancy slides, country parks which charge admission, nature parks ...
It can be time consuming, but best is to phone and find out who you should ask, and how, followed up by an email or letter explaining what you're raising funds for, how and when.
Then a TY letter afterwards.
You've got permission from Kidney Research to do this? Ask them for suggestions, I'd be surprised if they don't have suggestions for just about any form of fundraising ...Signature removed for peace of mind2 -

It's always worth asking any local attractions, they may say no, or offer a family visit, or more!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"1
