Editing listing after purchase - PDF

I purchased a text book from a seller on ebay over the weekend and have just received a (working) link to a PDF of the book.
I was sure that I was purchasing a physical copy - but looking back at the listing it says 'PDF' in the description.
Could the listing have been edited after my purchase to add 'PDF' post pucrhase? The seller was showing 5 copies so the listing was still live after my purchase (but isn't now). Or am I just a numpty who shown have read more carefully?

A listing can't be edited after the last item is sold but could be while there are still some items left. If you go into'order details' you should be able to view the listing you actually bought from.2

Does ebay allow sale of links? I thought that was banned years ago?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Thanks Stevie, looking closely at the listing I can see the revisions, but nothing after I bought so I assume I didn’t look carefully enough.
GDB, they don’t allow the sale of links of copyrighted material, but if some eejit (me!) buys before they spot it and take it down then I think it’s tough.
I’ll be more careful next time.0
