Cooperative home/building insurance quote really high

I've just had a renewal quote from the cooperative for our home and building insurance which last year was little over £188. There have been no changes, no claims or issues, and I know that these costs are going up through one thing and another.
But this year's quote is for £1,050! Almost five times the original cost which is astonishing. I did a comparison site quote and everyone else is around £300 upwards.
I also did an online quote with co-op to see if they had messed up the renewal, and it came out as £1,200.
What on earth is going on with their home insurance? Is anyone else having similar experiences?

They clearly do not want your business.2

Just entered the details of my parent's house into the co-op website and it came to £2,500 for a home/buildings policy. They don't usually pay more than £400-£500 per year for theirs.0

Maybe Co-op is trying to move out of home/contents insurance and this is their way of encouraging people to go elsewhere. Shop around and take one of the others you have seen at 1/4 of the price.
