    If you engage in a program of upgrading you CH system with larger radiators & bigger bore pipes where needed, you can take advantage of low flow temperatures with the new boiler. It also puts you in a better position for a heat pump installation in the future. Doing the work now is subject to how long you plan on keeping the property.
    I don't plan on moving any time soon, and have already done some upgrades with an eye on heat pumps. Hopefully, next winter I can log more data and get an accurate picture of actual heat demand and see what else I need to do.

    Just make sure the work done complies with the conditions for the g'tee.  You may need a power flush and a magnetic filter fitted to comply.

    Yes, he's an approved Worcester installer and the quote includes all those things. 👍

    As well as tendency to overspec the boliers, after installation they tend to leave the boiler flow temperature too high, which makes the boiler less efficient/uses more gas. So check it after they have gone.
