Joint bank account for UK resident and non resident

Options
I've been searching and am struggling to find an account I could open as a joint account for myself and my dad, who is non resident in the UK.

Does anyone know of a bank account that can be held jointly by a resident and non resident?

Thank you

One of the online ones might be best?  Starling etc?

Barclays, Halifax etc will, I believe, need proof of UK residency.  But it's possible that is just a problem if the non resident is in the EU.  Might not pertain to other countries.

Or is it a case of it not needing to be a UK account?  Maybe you could have an joint account wherever dad is living?

My dad lives in South Africa, and wants to open an account in the UK that is held jointly with myself so that I will have access to his funds should I need to make payments on his behalf, and that he can access/use when he visits me.

Starling requires joint account holders to be resident in the UK. He is not resident but has a visitors visa (for visiting me/ my family).

Most of the main banks have "international" branches, generally based in the Channel Islands or Gibraltar. You, your Dad and anyone else should be able to open accounts with them.
