So went to get new wiper blades and the rear housing for the blade snapped.
I've tried everywhere locally but no luck and was told to look online.

I'm not good at this and the only other time I bought from away was not a good result so please can you help me get the right bit because to say I'm out of my depth here.

This is the part that snapped.
The snapped bit is on the right hand end of this photo.

Under Pivot Shaft Housing and Wiper Linkage.
I found this on ebay but it doesn't look right to me. It's square at the ends and mines rounded which fits perfectly in the shaft.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393525340676?itmmeta=01HX6NF257ECRZ139Y2M8QP10Q&hash=item5b9ff02a04%3Ag%3A3HYAAOSwxaRl7uf-&fits=Car+Make%3AFord%7CCars+Year%3A1999%7CModel%3AFiesta

and this

https://vospersparts.com/genuine-ford-fiesta-rear-wiper-arm-blade-clip.html

It looks the right shape except for a diddly thing on the end which may have been on mine and long gone.

For some reason that won't make a link but I've googled the company and it's genuine, in fact quite big retail in Plymouth.

Question 2 is will I need a special rear wiper to fit such a housing. The one bought from the auto supply to garages sold me this but I'm wondering if it will fit with the arched top as opposed to the original (bottom of photo) previous.

Of course the bottom one is a replacement and could have been a random :/

It's taken me 2 full days to try and change 3 wipers so far to try and save some money. I think next time I'll pay up for someone at the shop to do it!
All help gratefully received.

If you're near a Halfords they should have a book telling you which ones you need, and you can take the old ones in to compare if you need.

    Thanks.
Halfords is a 50 mile round trip - and the blades unfortunately no longer comes with clips and that's not been a problem till now.
I'm still searching for the bit that broke off. I don't throw stuff away but it's small and I didn't realise the trouble it would cause.

Even searching for a new wiper as a whole brings up wrong results.

H503 is the correct blade for a 95-02 Fiesta.  The clip sits up to the raised portion.  That part you have listed is what I came up with so looks right for the car.  Someone may have changed the wiper arm at some time though.

    Thank you for checking Molerat.
It's something you don't need often enough to understand.

I don't think the arm has changed. 1 previous owner who did 2000 miles a year and serviced every 2000 miles (annually) so had only 4400 on the clock. Just used for taking the dogs for a walk.
Meant to change it but why when it's a good little goer :)
