Morning all, Happy Bank Hol,Yesterday we gave in and went to the football tournament being held in Lancashire, even though DGS wasnt back from hols. Glad we did, it was a lovely afternoon. The host club had a bar and food, so there was lots of chat sitting in the sunshine, 1 of the Mums had done a massive picnic, offering bits around, I just had a coffee from her flask as no-one else was, her dad preferred beer
. Bit different to watching in driving rain and a nice drive back along leafy lanes.
Tea was soon made when we got back.We are having a similar route today as DH has to drop something off, there is supposed to be a nice garden centre nearby so we'll call in and get something to revive our hanging basket and tubs.Nothing at all planned for tea later, I'll have to wing it but the fridge is looking a bit bare.Hope you all have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Raining here - typical bank holiday weather - I had gardening to do but it won't be happening today. I did have a potter later on in the afternoon yesterday. Little one stayed both Friday and Saturday night, as DD did an extra shift at work. As usual she was excellent company, though I would have preferred not to be woken up at 20 past 5! On Saturday morning, I took her to her swimming lesson, then we went into town to see or local Riding of the Bounds, there were a lot of riders taking part this year. Little one loved seeing all the horses, then we went to the library and for lunch.
I'm just going to have a pottering about morning, I have ironing to do and will run the hoover over downstairs. Then this afternoon I'm going out for afternoon tea with DD and little one, at a place we've never been to about half an hour's drive away. Had a look online last night and the food looks lovely, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Just had a nice texting chat with eldest DD who's now in Vietnam - she's on the 62nd floor of a very fancy looking hotel. They got there about 6am - I've had photos of her room, her breakfast, the swimming pool, the view...oh and the torrential rain they had when they arrived! She's staying in Hanoi but will be travelling around visiting factories.
Nanny - yes I had a very itchy rash for about 3 weeks - I eventually got a doctors appointment and some steroid cream and it cleared up in just a few days. Hope you get yours sorted too x
Right I'd better move myself. Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning all
Pourimg with rain here and set in for the day, I managed to get half of the patio jet washed yesterday before the rain started I was going to finish today but it will have to wait now.
Yesterday evening we were sitting watching tv when I started to get cold it got worse and worse and in the end my whole body was shivering uncontrollably, I went up and got into bed with my electric blanket on with pyjamas socks and my big oodie hoody and just could not get warm, eventually after two hours I started to warm up so got up to use the loo and the shivering started again, got back in bed and took some paracetamol and drifted off to sleep, I have woken this morning with a raging sore throat and aches all over, I’m going to get OH to light the fire when he is out of the shower as I’m very cold again, OH had a similar virus a week or so ago and my sister has it too it’s a horrible thing !
Not sure about dinner tonight I’m not sure I fancy much will get some mince out for the other two they can have tacos.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Afternoon! Went to a garden show yesterday, it was fun although it decided to rain and pretty much didn't stop the rest of the day, it was in Beaulieu so we followed that by going to a local GC, I was drooling over some pots but not the price..Got some bargains and resisted buying too many things. Got home shattered. Heard some high pitched barking outside that wouldn't stop, shone a torch out the window there was a fox cub in the garden who was either being sstopped from leaving or being attacked by another one, investigated further, looked like it had a broken spine, it's back legs were useless. Cue emotional carnage, catching it, making it comfortable then taking to the emergency vets. I haven't phoned to ask yet, I am pretty sure it would have had to have been put down. Still feeling bad about it today, poor little thing. It could only have been a month or two old and it was so pretty. Not sure if it would have made a difference if it was ugly, but it's awful when you can't explain and they can't explain. I think it's mother brought it here, because there wasn't any traffic last night and it was gone 12 by the time I got it to the vets. Hoping nothing will be happening tonight.Hope you're all having a good bank holiday...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8

Oh TAFF that is so very sad. Poor little fox cub, it must have been in such pain x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7

OH TAFF poor little thing but you did the right thing let’s hope it was either fixed up or put to sleep to stop it suffering I would have done the same6

Taff - so so sad, but whatever the outcome it’s better at the vet than suffering for any longer. You did the best thing!AA6
