Had plans today to jet wash the patio, steps etc but guess what, yes it's going to rain all day.  Typical Bank Holiday weather!  Oh well I'll have to do my ironing instead.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here, going to be showery though.

Yesterday was an ok day, we visited the National Trust property that we'd never been to before, but we'll have to go back, the grounds are extensive and we didn't manage to see it all. The house was nice though.

We stopped on the way home for a coastal walk near Whitley Bay. It was busy  everywhere, despite the odd shower.

Not much on today, I'll visit my elderly friend who lives up the road as I usually do on a Monday, then nothing in particular.

Good morning. Slow start today. The weather says rain but I’m not sure. Just watching 3rd Rock from the sun. Had a nice breakfast.

Morning folks.  Well it's fine for now and even a bit of sun appearing over the moors but apparently we have an afternoon of thunderstorms to look forward to! Yesterday afternoon the sun unexpectedly appeared and I had an hour or two of sitting/pottering out back. It felt lovely.

The young couple next door departed yesterday for the wedding venue where they stayed last night and will stay again tonight. Everything has been arranged to the second with military precision but sadly you can't book good weather and if the forecast is right the photos will have to be taken inside. Such a shame.

DS is still all hands on deck with the house of doom with the bedrooms all finished now and he has worked his way downstairs. The lounge is underway and the kitchen (the worst job) will be last. I pity her new landlord when she is eventually evicted from there also. It beats me how anyone can live in such squalor.

Only other plan for today which is not weather dependent is the shopping postponed from the w/e. The fridge is looking very bare. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all be safe xx

It's a dull start here too. Yesterday drizzle fell for most of the day. I did a full white load which is now on the airer upstairs. Any hope for getting it hanging outside was soon dashed. My little foray to the wee shop was successful, I bought eggs and pate. 

Later on I ordered a wash bag to use in the WM. I had one ages ago but where it's gone is a mystery. As I gradually cull my possessions it may well turn up in a totally unexpected place. Last night there was a five minute power cut, just as I about to report it everything came back on. 

Today I have plan! This morning it's my exercise class and in the afternoon a nail appointment. Busy day. 😂😂

I hope that everyone is doing well and can enjoy the Bank Holiday.

The sun was out when I got up, but it's gone dull now - glad I did my washing yesterday and got it all dried outside.

I have no plans for today, so will probably go for a walk (weather permitting).

Happy Bank Holiday
I think I missed posting yesterday 🤔. Anyway it was trip to buy bedding plants then, as the sun was out the lawn got mowed and also did some edging and strimming. Decided to clean the outside furniture and managed to stub the end of my finger - the joint was bruised last night, now it’s swollen throbbing and feel like the skin is going to burst! And we didn’t sit out on the furniture in the end!!
A foray in the loft is required today then I might just do safer, indoor jobs might also need a nap as been awake since just after 5am.

Morning All

Another one with rain due for most of the day. The rain stayed off yesterday and I put washing out that dried a bit but it's now on the airer. With no heating on and no good weather it's difficult to get washing dried without resorting to the TD.

After my swim I went shopping and visited the garden centre for some bean seeds - they are currently soaking to give them a bit of a head start. Pulled some rhubarb from friends garden and made some jam. I also changed the batteries in the heating thermostat, quite pleased with myself!

Going out with a pal for a browse at the shops today, I have a Dobbies voucher to spend but not sure what I want so will have a mooch about. I also want to get a new swimming cossie for my holidays so will have a look in the big Sainsburys. We may also have to have a look in Ikea, it would be rude not to when we're so close!

Hi everyone,

Steve has been jetwashing the patio and drive over the last couple of days so I hope the rain holds off so he can finish.

I was awake for a couple of hours in the middle of the night after having a.bad dream so I'm a bit jaded today.

I forgot to say that the friend who was very ill died last week, very sad, he was only 67.

The family are supposed to be going out today but they were also supposed to yesterday and cancelled because Laura and Brian were both ill.
