Recommendations please for a decent self healing cutting mat to use to cut fabric with rotary cutter. The prices online vary wildly.
Thanks

  • I know it's been a few months since you posted this, and you probably have bought one now! I too have found anything to do with crafts horribly expensive. That said, Home Bargains have a small selection of craft items, including cutting boards, at reasonable prices. In the store I go to, the items come and go, though you can always ask if they have them in the back. I got rotary cutters and A3 size cutting boards there, they also do wool and needles etc. So my first stop is always there amd see what they have before I head over to Hobbycraft. Cutting boards can be resealed, so if they start looking bad because of all the cuts, you don't have to throw it away. Check online for the best way to do it. Hope this helps.

personally I find Hobbycraft is one of the dearest places to shop.

Sometimes Aldi have craft items including small cutting mats (or they used to have!)

Sadly I end up buying most of my craft supplies online as they are the best prices as long as you factor in p&p, also I can't find very specific items in any local shop. No, I don't have Amazon Prime!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
