Small claims court

Hi I’ve done a couple of small claims court claims before and I love how simple the process is.

I now have an issue with a company in the USA - does anyone know if I can claim against a company outside the uk please?

No you can’t.  You have to be able to provide an address in England or Wales for the defendant.

Chances are that even if the US company had a UK postal address, your contract with them would be governed under US law (usually state-specific) and therefore any action would need to be taken via a court in the relevant jurisdiction there.

Even if you could, what would you then do with the judgment?

You might get better help if you told us more about your "issue".
