Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I didn't have the best of starts this morning when my much anticipated first coffee ended up all over the worktop, the cupboard below and the floor! After cleaning all that up I managed to make my second attempt less messy!
After 3 beautiful days mid week yesterday was a gloomy one but only a bit of mizzle..Today is forecast to be much the same. Not the best of weather for next door's spa day but fortunately the large gazebo will keep off any of the promised light rain.
Today will be a day of same old same old but waiting to hear from DS as to what day over the w/e the supermarket sweep will be. He had booked a few days off this week in the hope of cracking on with the house of doom renovation.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Welcome to our newbies. Thoughts are with NAN. TAFF sorry to hear your appointment had to be cancelled. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone I was woken up through the night with the rain I thought I had left a tap running couldn’t believe it was absolutely lashing down I’m pleased I got the paving in my yard finished it’s the third year it has been painted it’s a terracotta colour and looks lovely when it’s done but you have to work the paint into all the little crevices so I was on my hands and knees for a good couple of hours I can hardly move today I’ve got muscle ache in places I didn’t even know I had muscles I don’t think it helped I was working with a wind blowing on me all the time I’m wondering if I can get some sort of spray that I can put it on with and use a roller it’s something I’m going to have to look into for another year or bite the bullet and have new paving put down . GERS I’m another that’s determined to get this food bill down I’m going to sort my freezer out today and we might have to have a few meals the same for a while but I’ve got to get it emptied and sorted and used up my food shopping was a fortune last month and there’s only the two of us I certainly can’t keep that up now I’m not working I’m having to adjust a lot of spending food being one of them . TAFF enjoy today I know you will and don’t spend to much you made me laugh with your housewife when I was at the food waste yesterday there was a lot of onions so we put a lot of extras in the bags one of the men said I remember years ago coming in from the pit and my wife would have had a onion pudding waiting for me delicious a lot of people didn’t know what one was but I can remember them it was a suet pudding wrapped in a tea towel and boiled for hours we used to love them and filled you up especially when there was big families. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all.
Got up too late to go to prayer breakfast.
Came downstairs to find the front door and garage door were unlocked and the kitchen light had been left on all night.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning all, we have something round and yellow in the sky, rumours have it it's called the sun ! Wonders will never cease.
Sorry to have been MIA again but I've been feeling so miserable with the itchy rash. Anyway yesterday I flummoxed the senior practice manager and a GP at the surgery so they have taken photos and sent them off to dermatology. They seem to think I have 2 different ones which are not happy with staying on my back but now spreading down my arms and legs, so I came from the pharmacy with 2 different creams, strong anti-histamines, some moisturising cream ( OOS but will be in on Tues) and a some sleeping tablets ! I'm not a pretty sight.
Today Mr Fix It has done a load in the wm and hung it outside breaking part of my whirly line as he went. The bedding is now dancing in the wm and will have to go on the extra line, but hopefully it will all dry today.
I shall plaster myself with cream and then dust the spare bedroom and get himself to wield the hoover as DGS is coming for an overnighter tomorrow. DD is taking me clothes shopping tomorrow afternoon as I need some new T.shirts and I expect DGD will tag along too, she loves to shop !
Hugs to anyone in need and sorry I haven't kept up with you all 🧡
