UC Migration from Tax Credits - Backdated payment?

Options
I have just applied for UC to migrate from Tax Credits. I will be receiving transitional payments for the next few months at least.

My next Tax Credits payment was due to be paid on 14th May. But as I have now applied for UC I won’t get a UC payment until the 2nd June, which is over two weeks later.

Will the two weeks I am missing out on be backdated when I get the first UC payment? Or will I just lose out on two weeks of payments?

I realise I can ask for an advance.  But I’d rather not do that as I have to pay it back.

You will not receive any money from UC for before you submitted your claim. Your UC will be for 1 month from the date you started your claim. Whether there's any entitlement to TP depends on the figures, not everyone is entitled to it.

You will at some point receive your final Tax credits award notice and if they owe you anything you will receive what is owd.
