Has there been a change in the expected parent contribution? My son will be in his third year in September and will receive £5877 my daughter starts first year in September and will receive £5084 these are both based on the exact same details put down for my earnings?

The loan amount differs based on whether the student is living at home or away from home or in or out of London.Philip624 said:Has there been a change in the expected parent contribution? There is also extra weeks' loan added if the course exceeds 30 weeks study (long courses loan).0 -

Are you sure the amounts are the right way round as there is a reduced rate maintenance loan in the final year of the course due to the course not continuing beyond the summer.Philip624 said:Thanks both are living away and not in London and far as I am aware term times are the same0 -
