Octopus System Error - Double check your bill!

Hi all

I just had my latest (and final bill) from Octopus and it was around £1000 more than it should be and was due to be taken by Direct Debit. A quick call to their customer service team and was told it was a system error and could just be rectified while I was on the call. 

It was and I have a new bill that seems more accurate. Just posting on here to see if any one else had the same experience and to let folk know. 

 
Debt at Highest: £17203.26 (Aug 2015) - The Lightbulb moment
Currently: £0 in cc!!! £159,000 in a joint mortgage.

    Are you on tracker tariff? I have an ongoing issue where my daily usage on the bill isn't matching the daily usage from the smart meter download

    Probably because there's missing data so they average it out over the month. Happens often.

    @Veteransaver Yeah tarrif name was flexible Octopus. Was a bit too flexible with their calculations. Have switched to the EDF fixed tarrif.

    No, there isn't missing data and it continues to be wrong!
