What do i do now

Hello again everyone, i have sent my IHT 400 forms off,today i received a calculation for the Inheritance tax to pay (thankfully the same as i had worked out) but still no reference to apply for probate? Can someone confirm if it comes separate or should i try and ring them tomorrow?

You need to apply using IHT422

@Hoenir  Ive already done that step-I’m now waiting for the next reference so i can apply online for probate. I have the calculations from Hmrc as to what tax i need to pay

24 working days ago….it says you will receive within  20working days. Ill give it until Monday, hopefully it may come tomorrow

Spoke to them just now-have to make a payment to them before they issue the code! Just as well the bank have released his cash already to me so i have the money to pay it. Now have to wait again, for their system to catch up and show ive paid the 1st instalment. Even though the calculation of inheritance tax paperwork show payment effective date as august! Just as well i rang them.

Remember this coming Monday is a bank holiday.

@pjs493 indeed-which is why i decided to ring them today-have paid the 1st instalment now, so hopefully will get the sometime next week!
