Terms and conditions

Sign Ups and Entry into Prize Draw

1.       Prize Draw open to persons who have elected to receive news, offers and communications from Cunard by email. One entry to Prize Draw provided to persons who complete and submit the form shown at www.cunard.com/winFjords and consent to receive news, offers and communications from Cunard by email (a “Sign Up”). 

2.       Only Sign Ups submitted by ‘Eligible Entrants’ will be entered into the Prize Draw. The qualifying criteria for ‘Eligible Entrants’ is shown at clause 9, below. 

3.       You will not be entered into the Prize Draw if you are not an Eligible Entrant. If you submit a Sign Up and are not an Eligible Entrant you will not be entered into the Prize Draw but will still receive news, offers and communications from Cunard.  

4.     The receive a Prize Draw entry, all Sign Ups must be submitted during the sign up period which opens [00.01 BST on 22 April 2024] and closes [23:59 BST on 14 June 2024] (“Sign Up Period”). 

5.     Each Sign Up received by Cunard during the Sign Up Period from an Eligible Entrant will receive one entry into the Prize Draw.

6.       Any Sign Ups received outside the Sign Up Period, or any registrations to receive news, offers and communications from Cunard submitted other than through the website shown at clause 1 above, will not receive an entry to the Prize Draw. 

7.       A Sign Up may still be submitted by persons who have previously elected to receive news, offers and communications from Cunard.

Prize Draw Eligibility 

8.     To receive one entry into the Prize Draw, a Sign Up must be submitted by an Eligible Entrant. 

9.     To be an Eligible Entrants you must:

a. be aged 18 or over;
b. be a UK resident;
c. not be an employee of Carnival plc (including their suppliers or agents) or any organisation associated with (or connected to) the administration of the Prize Draw or an immediate family member of the same, in each instance.

10.  No bulk or 3rd party Sign Ups are accepted. No entries to the Prize Draw will be made for bulk or 3rd party Sign Ups, or Sign Ups automatically generated by computer. 

11.  Other than submitting a Sign Up, no purchase is necessary to enter the Prize Draw. 

Prize Draw

12.  The Prize Draw will run during the Sign Up Period.

13.  The prize associated with the Prize Draw is a voyage for two people sharing a Balcony Stateroom on board the Queen Anne 7-night voyage H517 to the Norwegian Fjords departing Southampton on 4 July 2025 (“Prize”). Stateroom allocation is at Cunard’s discretion and subject to availability.

14.  Only one Prize is available. 

15.  One winner of the Prize Draw will be selected at random from all qualifying entries received by Cunard during the Sign Up Period.

16.  The winner must book the voyage which forms the Prize before 30 September 2024. Dates of Prize voyage may not be altered, once booked.

17.  Prize includes accommodation as clause 13 above, on board main meals (excluding speciality restaurants for which a cover charge will apply), entertainment and most facilities on board. The Prize does not include drinks, onboard purchases, onboard spending money, transport from the port of Southampton and/or transport to any airport, travel insurance (adequate travel insurance is a condition of travel), excursions, luggage fees or other personal expenses incurred or gratuities.

18.  The Prize voyage is a free fare and the winner will not receive any additional entitlements, credits or increase in Cunard World Club loyalty status as a result of receiving the Prize. 

19.  The Prize is non-transferrable unless expressly agreed by Cunard. No cash alternative will be offered. 

20.  It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they and their guest have valid passports and travel insurance, meet all required travel requirements, and obtain any vaccinations and visas required to take part in the Prize.

21.  The winner will be notified by Cunard in writing by 31 July 2024 using the contact details provided when providing a Sign Up.

22.  If a winner does not respond to Cunard confirming their acceptance of the Prize within 21 days of being notified of their win, the Prize will be forfeited, and Cunard shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 21 days or else they will also forfeit the Prize). 

23.  If a winner rejects the Prize, or if their entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, or if the winner is unable to claim the Prize for any other reason, the winner's Prize will be forfeited and Cunard shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with these terms. 

24.  Prize is subject to national and local travel public health restrictions.

General  

25.  The winners and Cunard’s performance of the Prize will be bound by, and subject to, Cunard’s Booking Conditions and policies which can be found at cunard.com. 

26.  Cunard’s decisions in relation to the administration of the Prize Draw, the selection of winners and the allocation of the Prize will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

27.  Cunard reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal or greater value and/or reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or amend the prize draw or withdraw the Prize (with or without prior notice) due to reasons outside its reasonable control, or if reasonable commercial considerations make it necessary to do so.

28.  There are certain things for which Cunard does not accept any liability to you. Cunard cannot exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or loss caused by a false statement where the statement is made fraudulently. Otherwise, the exclusions described at clause 26 and 27 will apply.

29.  Cunard will not be responsible for (and will have no liability in connection with) the following occurrences, to the extent that they occur for reasons beyond Cunard’s reasonable control: 

a. any postponement or cancellation of the Prize Draw, 
b. any changes to Prize(s) or the way in which they can be used; 
c. any act or default of any third-party supplier.

30.  Cunard does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware or software failure of any kind, which may affect the sending, receipt or processing of your Sign Up or entry the Prize Draw.

Use of Personal Data

31.  When a Sign Up is submitted and the tick box selected to receive Cunard’s news, offers and communications, Cunard will deem this to be your freely given and informed consent to receive direct marketing communications by email.  

32.  You can update or withdraw your marketing consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email you have received from Cunard or by visiting cunard.com/myaccount. If you are an Eligible Entrant who has already submitted a Sign Up, withdrawing consent will not impact any entry made to the Prize Draw or impact your chance of being drawn as the winner.

33.  For every Sign Up submitted, Cunard will use your personal data to provide you direct marketing communications by email; to administer the Prize Draw and to facilitate the notification of winners / redemption of the Prize. By submitting a Sign Up you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information for this purpose.

34.  Personal data will be processed in accordance with Cunard’s privacy notice at https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/advice-and-policies/privacy-notice.

35.  The surname and county of the winner of the Prize Draw will be available by sending an email including the name of the prize draw to cunard.events@cunard.co.uk. If an entrant objects to their surname and county being made available, please contact Cunard on cunard.events@cunard.co.uk before the closing date. In such circumstances, Cunard must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

36.   The promoter is Carnival plc, trading as Cunard (“Cunard”), Carnival House, 100 Harbour Parade, Southampton, SO15 1ST.

37.  This prize draw is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
