Hi
I have been capturing VHS footage from old VHS tapes, using Cyberlink Power Director 14 and a USB capture device, and an old VHS player.
However, I seem to be encountering an issue whereby the video has some judder and interference and the Cyberlink software thinks its a copyright VHS and stops the recording process. This mainly only ever happens with VHS and not camcorder, but is extremely frustrating. Can anybody recommend an alternative software to try besides Cyberlink?
Thanks in advance

Are you sure it isn't copy protected VHS? Are you sure it isn't your USB interface that isn't causing the problem rather than the software?0

If the software lets you under scan, take a look at the top right of the image. If there are small white squares flashing and fading in and out, the video has Marcovision and the capture app won't copy it.If it's not and just very juddery, it could be the tracking on the playback machine. Try adjusting the tracking, there should be a small dial somewhere. This could also be the case if the machine you're playing back on, isn't the same as the machine it was recorded with.
