Good morning, it's fine and dry here. Yesterday was a lovely day, Hope today is the same.
I haven't posted for a day or two, nothing much happening here, well, there's not today either!
Yesterday we were out early to take a friend for her Covid vacc, and we are taking the same lady for a hospital appt tomorrow, her usual lift can't do it. However, we don't mind, we've been friends for years, and we are glad to do it.
I've got quite a bit of stuff to take to the cs, I was going to take it earlier in the week, but forgot to pick it up when I went out.
Hope everyone is ok, and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, good of you to help out your friend.
It's to be a warm, sunny day - hurrah! WM is chugging away, I'll hang it out before I go to work. Put washing out when I got home yesterday and it dried really quickly. I cut the grass and sat reading a book for a while in the sunshine.
It's an in-service day today so I'm going in a bit later, should finish earlier too but I'll have to visit DD after work as I've an appointment for my eyebrows later nearer to her, forgot it was in-service when it was re-arranged.
Hope you're feeling better today Nanny. I would go for VR if it was offered for the right price!
Hope you hear something soon Suffolksue.
Your foot sounds painful taff, you may need to slow down a bit!
Fingers crossed for your van Allie.
That's naughty of the cleaner Ruby.
Wishing everyone a good day, take care. XX9 -
Morning all. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet. It was lovely earlier this morning, a bit cloudy now but the day promises much. I have my pool session later and then invigilating in the afternoon so am hoping that the sunshine lasts.Hugs to our poorlies.9

Morning! It's raining with a chance of thunderstorm apparently. Got heart blokey today [ yes, this is how I mostly refer to him in my head] so I made a Carpathian Mountain cake yesterday to take him a couple of slices. He wasn't his usual cheerful self the last time I saw him so hopefully, custard contained in some pastry will cheer him up [I'm hoping he won't be as down when I see him but just in case...].. I've never met a bloke who didn't like copious amounts of custard yet. Apart from that, nothing else planned today, except my new seriously expensive contacts are ready to pick up. I hope there's a gold tinged light when I wear them...Ruby, how bloody cheeky of her! Well done for noticing too! Gers, enjoy the diverse day! camelot, enjoy the slightly shorter day and new eyebrows! Rosy, hope it was just the cars that were injured. Pleased you got to see your friend too! TA, I found the same with my jab too. None of the rest have been painful. He must have ht something with the needle. Allie, I'm impressed at the vote opening hope the van comes out less expensive than you think too. I am orf to breakfast, no idea what yet, so have a great day if you can, shout out to the not so hale and hearty...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...8

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another fine day in store but not as much sunshine as the last two days. Then the rain is due back tomorrow.
The sunshine spurred me on to make a start cleaning the windows. I got all the downstairs ones done but upstairs is postponed until today. The outside was beckoning as it seemed a shame to let the sunshine go to waste! I potted on a few plants and risked putting some geraniums out in pots, but I will need to watch out for frost getting forecast. This weather is so unpredictable! It felt lovely in the sunshine at the back so I took out a coffee and just sat and enjoyed it.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all
What a storm we had in the night ! Thunder and great claps of lightning seemed to be very local, apparently a local nursing home got struck by lightening but they managed to evacuate everyone ok, quite a few houses are without power this morning.
I must say the cleaner was full of apologies when confronted she has been doing it for months and as soon as I mentioned the doorbell she knew she had been caught, she has promised to stick to her times from now on so we will see !
Going to collect Rob this morning and take him to work I need to pop into a shop on the way home for some garlic we bought some giant ones back from Greece last year and then managed to get some in Venice but they have all gone they were so tasty so will look in M &S to see if they have the big ones.
Dinner tonight will be chilly and rice I think I will make double and freeze half for another day.
Taff I hope the appointment with heart blokie goes well xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Hi all
thanks Scarlet for the start.
Taff - hearty bloke will love the custard I’m sure!
RedRuby - hope Rob remains well
TA - happy window cleaning it’s my least favourite chore!
Gers - that’s a full day, take care, hopefully no nose bleeds today
Postal vote opening again today - it’s just the last ones that arrive so can’t think there’ll be that many. Yesterday was fine, it’s a very laborious process but I guess it has to be. Every bit of paper must get checked multiple times. I find it interesting!I did manage to do some craft work when I got home as well as a walk by the river in the sunshine. Then it absolutely tipped it down.See you all tomorrow!

Morning all,& thanks Scarlet, kind of you to take your friend.Back to cloudy and dull- at least there's no rain. DH has gone off to supervise a delivery but the brickies aren't turning up again for the 2nd day, and nothing else can be done until they get up to roof height. He spent yesterday afternoon tinkering with a nail gun that had stopped working, but has now found someone who fixes them. The manufacturer said it was obsolete, but this chap says that model was one of the best, we'll see. Then he powerwashed the back garden walls and flags, it soon goes green. Next door was doing the same after DH got him a part to stop the hose coming off his It's been nice to chat to neighbours over the fence, hardly seen them for 6 months! It was nice and warm too!Tea last night was 3 random tubs from the freezer, one portion lasagne, 1 moussaka and 1 sausage & mash.Thats a bit more space cleared.Good luck with heart blokey today @taffCamelot happy eyebrow day I have very sparse brows these days and resort to one of the brush on eyebrow gels.Enjoy your pool session Gers, and hope the invigilating is shorter than the other day.Well done on the windows TA, DH gave the back door and windows a splash with the power washer, so at least they look a bit better. No idea again what's for tea, I might pop into town & get some fish and veg off the market, and take my library book back.Hope you all have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Lovely bright and sunny morning here, hopefully it will last all day. I have washing to go out on the line. I need to run the hoover over downstairs and mop the kitchen floor, before I go down to mam and dads for a cuppa before work.
I picked little one up from school yesterday as DD had a dentist appointment. She was full of beans as usual and full of chat as she'd been on a school trip. I had lovely cuddles with the new kitten too - they took her to the vets for her first vaccinations after dropping me back home.
TA/Taff my Covid jab itself wasn't too painful but my arm has been so sore afterwards and bright red and hot.
I'd best get on. Hope everyone has a good day x6 -
Morning everyone it’s dry up to now I hope it lasts I have just hung out the throws of the sofa they are only thin should dry I noticed one had chocolate on it can’t possibly have been me I have never been known to miss my mouth especially not when eating chocolate. Enjoy your pool session GERS I need to call and get some milk but I’m trying to keep a tight hold of my purse money seems to be going nowhere in here and I need to get some money in my savings which seems to be going down fast .
