Octopus Smart meter?
Options
Hi, I have been using a SMET1 dumb meter for a few years now, I read my meter every month and use my online account to input the details.
I logged in today and a message came up saying I could book a convenient day to replace my old smart meters.
Can anyone tell me if the Octopus app will work on my chromebook as I don't have a smartphone. I have read that the IHD doesn't always work that well?

(not exactly the same, but the equivalent information is all there)1 -

The fact you’re finding it difficult to read your meters is all the more reason to replace your smart meters. Octopus replaced mine to a smets2 meter a few years ago and I’ve had no problems whatsoever. They get automatic regular readings, you get access to innovative tariffs.
with anything in life there are always a few that may have problems but the majority work absolutely fine. Go for it.4 -
