Morning everyone
Very misty this morning - I can only see as far as the bottom of my garden. Hopefully it will clear up later.
Yesterday was a lovely day, with sunshine all day. I sat outside with a cup of tea and Sundays' paper after work.
I had my Covid booster yesterday morning - this morning I have a very painful swollen arm and a headache - better than having Covid again though.
I need a little bit of shopping this morning but it will have to wait till later as I have an engineer coming to do my annual gas service. Anytime between 10 and 2, but I'm hoping it will be closer to 10 than 2!
Right, I'll get on with my jobs. Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a different start here compared to yesterday when we had sun all day long and it did reach 19 deg as they promised. Sadly that dratted wind was back which spoiled it!! Today we are forecast up to 18 deg but not much in the way of sun but rain not forecast until tonight.
I achieved very little in the garden yesterday and as my legs (and age!) are not going to improve I really must make a decision about what to do about making it easier to cope with. The back is so much easier to manage with just pots to look after.
My Covid jab went smoothly, no-one waiting so I was straight in. But bloomin' 'eck it was painful. I have never had a jab hurt so much before. Anyway so far no ill effects this morning, just ever so slightly tender to the touch. 2nd Shingles jab next week. Oh the joys of getting old.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. I hope those waiting for ops hear something soon and NAN's results are positive. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all, it's trying to be sunny here. I didn't get on here either, I went to see my friend who has the disabled son.Its a bit of a trek to where she lives now- much easier when we lived on the same street. She wishes she was still there, the apartment is pretty small for a wheel chair user, plus she was in a wheelchair when she was waiting for her operation to replace her hip replacement which had been done over 12 years ago. They have carers going in most days so there is lots of medical equipment around too. She was so pleased to see me, and her son popped into the living room to chat for a while too. DH picked me up and we got stuck in traffic on the way home due to a RTA, 2 ambulances and police cars still at the scene with an officer directing traffic. It's one of the busiest crossroads, near DGD's old primary school, there is also a school crossing which no longer has a lollipop lady, so DH was stressing about the children hoping no-one had been knocked down but when we got closer it was 2 cars that were in a right mess . Not heard how the people are.We had the leftover chicken for tea, me with salad, chips for DH.I'm having to wash DDogs bedding as she has had a little accident, getting more frequent now she's an old lady. I have some tablets I can give her . Next doors dog is barking his yappy little head off- he's not been too bad but now it's fine he's outside more, it'll drive DH mad if he's like this when (if
) we sit out in the summer!.
No idea what's for tea- a freezer dig no doubt!Izzy glad your eye is a bit better, I felt disgusted at your doctor !Camelot- could they do without you though - I think they'd find it hard.Gers that was a long session. Good luck MOTing AANice to have DGC video call Nan, better than not seeing them at all.Sorry I haven't mentioned everyone, brains gone now.Take care all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hello all, it's a horrible grey, damp day and just 10 degrees again. My poorly tummy decided it wasn't going without a fight yesterday so I spent most of the day between sofa and loo. I was then woken during the night by what I can only describe as a bird cheeping outside the window. I checked the smoke detector on the landing but no it was definitely outside and I still don't know what it was but it had me awake for over 2 hrs as I couldn't settle.
Today I have stripped the bed and tried the new sheet for size, perfect, now I can order some more and the shallow ones will be washed and sent to the cs as they are still like new. It never crossed my mind that the new mattress would be deeper and the sheets not fit. I don't think I will do the washing today though as we are forecast thunder showers later and there's no rush.
RedRuby I hope the talk does the trick and the cleaner behaves herself, she probably didn't think of your door cam catching her.
Camelot are you hoping for redundancy ? Or was it tongue in cheek. Hope you have a good day anyway.
AA sorry the little van failed it's MOT.
SSue sorry you still haven't had your op, fingers crossed the call will come very soon.
Take care all, hugs to everyone
