Bought some tomato plants the other day and the slugs seems to love them <grrrrr> should have put slug pellets round them first - oops!Apart from that I wish everyone a good day x10

It's a grey start to May, I'm hoping that it clears up. Yesterday we had heavy rain for most of the morning and then piddled down for the afternoon. The room I was in for the exam has a sort of plastic roof window so the noise from the rain was rather distracting at times.Much more disturbing was one of the two students suddenly having a nosebleed. Luckily most of the blood didn't drip onto the laptop and I managed to catch a passing student to fetch the teacher from the next door room for help. All the kerfuffle meant that extra time had to be added to the exam and, as both already had extra time, the 'injury time' took the duration to four hours. A real marathon. As for today, I've cancelled my cleaner as I need some time to myself. There's the monthly banking to sort out and maybe a little light pottering around. I hope that everyone is doing well.10

Morning All
Dull this morning, I did a load of washing but it's staying in as it looks like rain again. Yesterday's rain was epic at times but cleared up later and was quite warm.
That's a long exam Gers!
Sending hugs to you Nanny.
Hope you have Rob back today Ruby.
Pleased to hear that Vietnam is a good place to go! I loved Hong Kong dp1, I'm sure your DD will enjoy it.
I spent a couple of hours sorting out my camera last night, it wouldn't connect to the phone. After a lot of button pressing and some choice language I've got it to work thank goodness - have you seen the price of cameras these days?!
Off to work for me - we have a big clerical review going on and I think hours will be lost, maybe they will make me redundant!
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -

Gers I still think about Dumpling at the beginning of the month I’ve just had a thought what has happened to NMLC never been here for a while always started us off . Shepherd pie tonight I will make it when I come back in I have enough mince to make one and freeze one so that will do for another day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Mornign all! It is most definitely unsunny today, the clothes are still on the line from yesterday though so hopefully, I'll get to them before they get wet [ rain starts in two hours apparently] . Hopsital visit resulted with a future operation planned to fuse the bones in my ankle. I'd better get on a diet quick, I don't want to be hauling myself round in however many months time..Builder chat went well, we'll see what he comes back with. I did tell him we couldn't afford to do everything internally as well as externally, so we're as far as plasterboard internally maybe...it all depends on figures. Since we started this thing, prices have gone up the three times what they would have been..It may be cheaper to buy a motorhome and just forget about the house...camelot, are you rubbing your hands with glee at the thought or not? Gers, well done for sorting the situation, except for the obvious extra sitting round that is..You sound a bit out of sorts, maybe some coffee and chocolate might help? Florence, sorry, I thought you were shortening curtains, ignore me! hope you've slowed down a bit..nanny, how lovely they keep in touch via video. Hope you're feeling less fragile today. Izzy, have a lovely day, do something for yourself! You need a treat after that blummin doc...Take care all, hope the weather stays dry for you all for a change!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Happy May all - hard to believe that’s a third of the year gone!Gers - anything over 2/2.5 hours and I’m getting bored…….I've done one 4 hour session and it was grim! Hope you are ok.Taff - Hope the op is soon and sorts the problem
SSue - waiting is the worst, hope the get a date soon
Well yesterday didn’t go as planned as the campervan failed the MOT - totally unexpected, mechanic surprised too. Anyway it’ll get fixed and retested next week - I’ve stopped asking the price 🫣, it has to be done!Today will be different, I’m opening postal votes for the election. Done it before - it’s a slow but methodical process but suits the way my brain works. No idea for how long as it depends how many they’ve had in since the last session - can’t think it’ll be that many as we only have the Police and Crime commissioner and a town council so lowish turnout probably.Have a good day

Morning all
Dry and sunny here for now but more rain due this afternoon let’s hope they weather people have got it wrong ! We went for a lovely walk yesterday it was so warm we walked 4.6 miles which is not bad considering one of the guys was not keen on walking when he started, we stopped for a cuppa in the cafe in the sunshine which was lovely.
Rob seems to be recovered so as long as I don’t hear anything this morning I shall go and pick him up and take him to work, I have some shopping to do on the way home.
I had to speak to mums cleaner yesterday she put her invoice in but I have been watching her come and go on mums doorbell and a lot of times she is leaving early, last week she left 45 mins early and yesterday 1/2 hour but still charging full price, it’s been going on for some months and mum said she would speak to her but she hates confrontation so hasn’t . I have been asking her for months to start cleaning kitchen drawers out etc and she says she will but never does, perhaps now she knows we are on to her she will buck her ideas up, otherwise we will have to replace her.
Not sure about dinner tonight will see what takes my fancy in the shop, dd is working late shift again so just OH and I for dinner.
Nan I’m glad the scan went well xxx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -

It is lunch club at SA today so will be a busy day.
-taff - I did jacket sleeves and net curtains. In the end I only had to unpick one top hem as the other two needed lots cut off.

Hi everyone,
I didn't manage to get on the site yesterday, it was my day with Esther and it was so lovey we spent most of the day outside.
She's becoming very decided about what she wears, she chose a dress today and when Laura put it on her she held her skirts out to show it off to us, I don't know where she has got that from.
I'm going to try making fish tacos for dinner tonight, wish me luck. Last night I also made something new but it was delicious, it was something that showed up on my Facebook, an ad for the deliciously Ella app but as I didn't want to pay for it I made it up from the picture, it was a beany, veggie traybake.
Have a good day.10
