Alternative to RING camera?

I have had a Ring Floodlight camera for 3 years.  When they decided to increase the subscription significantly I decided to sacrifice the recording and I cancelled the subscription.  What I didn't realise that I also lost quite a few other features by not having a subscription.

I'm now staring to think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and suck up the increased subscription but before I do that I thought I'd see if there were any other options I could consider?  I went for Ring because the floodlight camera was a simple swap for an existing outside light so I'm looking for something similar.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions

perhaps if you told us what features you deem important then we'd have a better idea of what you really want or you could do what I did and search t'interweb to see whats around, like this - https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-best-floodlight-cameras

other sites are available but it appears that all of them require as subscription of some sort depending on what features you want

Appreciate the Nest option is expensive hardware and has a subscription but their one advantage is for a single subscription you can have multiple cameras so if you have this and a door bell and maybe another camera else where etc the single sub can be advantageous.

Good point. The one thing I really miss is being able to differentiate between it detecting a person separately from other movement. I used to have it set to give me motion alerts for people but not other motion and my phone set to give me alerts from Ring even if I had my phone set to do not disturb. Without a subscription you get all motion as alerts and considering we have lots of foxes and seagulls it can go off a lot.

It is a feature I want as I had someone try and break into my car and only a month ago I had a drunk looking through my windows at 2.15 am.

I’ve had to turn motion notifications off  since the subscription ended.
