Refund of prescription costs (no FP57 from online pharmacy)

I have a medical exemption for free prescriptions - the previous one expired on 02/04/24 and whilst it's replacement was valid from 02/03/24 it wasn't physically received until 04/04/24.
I had an order (4 items) due for despatch on 3rd April and agreed to pay Lloyds on the basis that this was reclaimable within 3 months
It now seems that in order to reclaim Lloyds should have issued an FP57 on the day with which I could reclaim on receipt of the new exemption certificate but as they failed to issue this (and apparently can't do this retrospectively) I'm now unable to reclaim.
It's 'only' £38.60 but I'd still rather have it back
Is there any way of reclaiming that I'm not aware of without an FP57 ?

Only in "exceptional circumstances" but this doesn't cover your situation according to https://faq.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/knowledgebase/article/KA-03919/en-us
