Should I fix my energy now?

Options
Currently with e.on

Next Pledge Tracker 12m V2

Fixed term ends 14/09/2024

24.37 p/kWh / 56.90 p/day

But it's cheaper with Fuse.
20.9003 p/kWh /  51.3902p/day

It's about 14% cheaper. Should I switch or should I wait until July? Can't decide.

Thank you everyone.

This question crops up on a regular basis. In reality only you can decide with is going to be best.

What is the fee to leave your current deal?
Would you save enough to pay the fee on your usage?

    • There is a £25 exit fee per fuel if the customer decides to change supplier before the tariff end date.

The E.ON Next Pledge tariffs, through their various versions (V5 now?) have had exit fees added, removed, added back, modified to include switching to other E.ON tariffs, removed again....

OP could well be right about their precise version.

Thread reply I linked to refers to same version as O/P mentions which is why I linked the thread referencing

"There is a £25 exit fee per fuel if the customer decides to change supplier before the tariff end date"

"Thanks for asking about the Next Pledge Tracker tariff. At the moment the 12m V1 is no longer available however we currently have the Next Pledge Tracker 12m V2 tariff"

  • This is from my statement. Thank you everyone anyway.

I just moved last night from eon next pledge v4 to edf fix which I think is currently 7% cheaper.

I read in the weekly email about the next drop possibly nog being so big and with increase over October to April I figured I take the chance and fix so I know its the same for next 12 month and if it cheaper then so be if still cheaper than now.

I fixed with EDF. £25 per fuel exit fee, but got £45 cashback for switching via topcashback/uswitch. The cashback will pretty much cover the exit fees should I decide to leave for a cheaper deal. No brainer, imo.

This should be disclosed on questions on here, as my view of whether a deal is good or not is heavily influenced by exit fees.
