PCN issued on my car with no plates

Hi I received a parking charge notice today on private land from PCM. My car did not have my plates on it and the ticket had my reg on it! Not sure how they got my reg as my VRN number is also covered. The photos they have taken also show no reg as there are no plates on the car. I can only think that I have been issued tickets previously by PCM and the ticket guy recognises my car. Even if they was to try and prove it is my car by comparing it to previous tickets and pictures they have taken, surely it still make this ticket invalid?

Windscreen or postal PCN?
If it was a windscreen one, wait for the NTK in a month. You can't respond yet because that would be admitting that it's your car (plates or no plates). You'd only know about a windscreen PCN if you approached the car. See what I mean?
If it's a postal NTK, appeal now and ask for evidence because all you can see online are pics of an unidentified vehicle.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
