Disability Living Allowance ? Smaller than expected payment.

My Disability Living Allowance from 08 April 2024 was to be £72.85 for middle care and £28.70 for mobility every week £101.35. The DWP letter dated 23 March said the entitlement would be £405.40 every four weeks from 8th April and my last payment, before today, was on 02 April.
Today I received £399.05. Does anyone know why I might have received £6.35 less than I thought into my bank today?
Could it be because the payment is in arrears? I don't think DWP would make a mistake and I am not sure how to work it out.
Thank you.

It is precisely because the payment is in arrears, you only got roughly 22 days at the new rate (i.e. from the 8th), the previous 6 days was at the previous rate. Hence the difference.
This happens on all benefits around the new tax year that get an uprating. Next month you should see the full amount paid.2 -
Thank you very much for explaining. I understand now and I'm glad to know it is not a mistake.
