Karcher KB2020 washer not working very well

Hi, i have the above model. Its basic and a few years old now. It seems to have become sluggish in operation. The motor is clearly operating but when water is flowing, the flow rate changes, slows down then picks up again. I've been doing some reading as to how these work and whether its an economic fix. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've had the casing open for a quick look but i suspect ill need to further dis assemble the motor assy to get to whatever is faulty. Its just a matter of identifying the faulty /worn bit and seeing if its economical/available to replace.

Have you checked/cleaned the inlet filter?  If there's even a small amount of muck in there it can affect how well it works.

I would agree.
Blocked or partially blocked water inlet filter somewhere.
