car insurance increase mid policy with 1st central?

Options
hi guys my daughter took out a car policy with 1st central and about a month after they requested a copy of the v5 which we sent them then a few weeks later weve had an email saying they've added a £50 admin fee and another £75 on top of her policy without telling us why.
we called them and it was due the v5 copy we sent saying she's the registered keeper which is a different date to when we stated she owned it by a few months, but she did own the vehicle but not the v5 registered keeper and as the v5 states on the front page, the registered keeper isn't proof of ownership.
we've argued that she owned the vehicle on the date stated where it says how long have you owned the vehicle but they won't accept it due to the v5 saying she owned it later as we transferred the v5 into her name later but before she took this policy out by nearly a year!
what options do I have with this as £125 extra is a lot more to add on, reading up on google this company seem to have a bad habit of doing this.

Do you have a copy of the invoice with her named on it from the purchase?

There are a couple of companies that sell cheap but then check every detail with a fine tooth comb

she bought the car in our name then last year when she took her first insurance policy out we put the v5 in her name, rolling on a year forward she's got her 1st years no claims and thats where she's taken this policy out with 1st central and we answered every question correctly as in how long she owned the car not how she's been the registered keeper.
after googling about this company the reviews are crazy on what they do, she's stuck in the policy now so we called them played hell and best we've been given is £50 admin fee back, wife's gonna press for the rest!

If the invoice is in your name then she didnt buy it, she may have funded the purchase but you were legally the owners. You may well have gifted her the car at some point after, potentially even instantly, but proving that is going to be very difficult and to put it bluntly, an insurer is going to be suspicious of a parent making such claims.  Why did you get your names on the paperwork if it was her car?

I worked on the other side of the coin in claims and had several cases where our insured called to advise their child had taken their car and had an accident. So we'd ask if they'd reported them to the police for theft? In all cases they said no, and so asked if they had permission and so they personally would be liable for the damages? They also said no. Unfortunately one of these have to be a yes, either your kid is a criminal or you've allowed this and so will be paying big sums, in one case about £30k plus whatever their own vehicle damage was.

With documentary evidence actually showing she didnt buy it on the date you state she did then you're not on great grounds to argue about the additional premium.

there was no invoices buddy we bought it privately and paid with her cash and it was her car but we put the v5 in our name to start so she could drive round under us as provisional license holder nearly 2 years ago,but then changed over once she passed her test and took out her own insurance.
I could easily write an receipt up for her for theyre sake and say we sold it her on the date the v5 was registered in her name but then that would be lying and we was being honest about declaring everything when they asked how long she's owned the car but the date we stated didn't match with date we transferred v5 into her name, as everyone knows though it says on the front of the v5, the registered keeper isn't proof of ownership.

Am I missing something?  Why did you need the car to be in your name for her to drive it?
