Are you referring to the external gas meter or just the display monitor indoors?. The app on my phone also still says that Octopus is "still getting your meter data"Scot_39 said:katejo said:

Isnt this normal on some if not many smart gas meters - screen goes into sleep mode to preserve battery life - i.e. you have to wake it up by pressing a button to read the display ?Some generic reading guidance hereGoogle your specific meter type if that isn't a good enough set of clues.0 -
This may be my problem too. Could someone please advise. I’ve had a new gas smart meter installed and the engineer that removed the old one said that whoever took the imperial meter out didn’t update the meter database. Consequently British Gas were interpreting my readings as imperial rather than metric. Have I been overcharged?0

I have just had a reply from Octopus to say "It seems that the meter has been installed but not commissioned, which means it hasn't established a connection yet. I will ask the meter to communicate the error and check for any updates tomorrow morning. It may take a minimum of 24 hours for the error to show up, and then our smart meter specialist will look into it remotely"
Anyone else had this?0
