Justpark doing what they can to retain space owners' cash

I've been renting out my front drive to Justpark customers for a few years, and get alot of custom. In the early days I used to get weekly payments from Justpark. Then it got less frequent, as I noticed that they had changed the payment frequency to monthly (without telling me). Then I stopped getting payments altogether, and was told it was because I needed to set my payment frequency on the website. So I changed it to "monthly", and got regular monthly payments most (but not all) of the time.

Having not received any payments for a while, I've now noticed that they've changed my payment frequency to "Never" (again without telling me). So I'd accumulated a large sum of cash over the last few months which I needed to manually request a withdrawal of.

If anyone else uses Justpark in this way I'd advise you to keep an eye on your balance, and your payment frequency, as Justpark seem to be doing whatever they can to hang onto their customers' cash as long as possible, regardless of how you set your preferences.

I'd also recommend that space owners use Yourparkingspace.co.uk, as they charge much less commission than Justpark (I have mine listed on both).

But which are you getting more business from?

I'd rather every slot sold at 10% commission than have it empty 95% of the time but only pay 7.5% commission on those cases where it is brooked.

Listing on both presumably introduces work for you to do to ensure there isnt a double booking.

I get more business from Justpark, which is the reason I stay with them. The last time I checked they were taking around 30% commission, compared to 20% taken by YourparkingSpace. I get a decent amount of income from both, though - enough to make it worthwhile managing the double bookings.

If you have some regular customers. Why not create your own agreement with them. You could cut cost down 20% & still be better off.
