Replacement UPVC Door Panel

I need to replace the bottom upvc panel on a door.
It is an old door & the panel 30 mm thick.
Plenty of 28 mm panels available at a sensible price but 30 mm panels are few & far between & lots more expensive.
Would a 28 mm panel be ok or would it be too slack ??

I'm sure the experts will be along, but if it was me I'd use the 28mm and replace the rubber strip as well. The right size will take up any slack, plus its only 2mm total difference anyway
