Good morning all. It's so bright and inviting outside, yet still chilly. I need coffee.

Morning all@Gers thanks for the start. Well, guess what? It's raining and due to stop around 2pm today. I think I should make an ark! We planned to go out car shopping today and maybe it's not a bad idea as I can't get out into the garden. Sitting here watching match of the day with breakfast. Must get moving in a mo as I have a food delivery coming soon.Hope everyone has a good day x11

Morning all. I was in bed before 10 last night - so tired after a very busy day.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's raining here too but forecast to stop later. I shouldn't complain as yesterday was fine (and cold) all day with the rain not arriving until late evening.
I had a quick trip into town yesterday morning and had just got back home when the opticians texted to say my new specs were ready. Grr wish they had messaged earlier whilst I was out and about.. I cba going down again so I will collect them tomorrow instead.
No plans for today as the supermarket sweep has been postponed until tomorrow. DS wants to crack on with the decorating of the house from hell whilst he can have a full day on it. He is starting with the bedrooms then working his way downstairs. He is still pondering on a new kitchen, he is waiting to see how it scrubs up. His DP has volunteered to do that job. He thinks it should be fit for habitation again by the end of May.
I have the wm on doing a dark wash and that will festoon the upstairs to dry, I have prepped my lunchtime veg and I think a slothful day will follow, feet up watching snooker.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. NAN I hope your scans reveal good news for you. Take care all be safe xx

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's distinctly uninviting here, raining would you believe!
Yesterday started sunny but soon turned grey and chilly.
We went out sofa shopping yesterday, we've been looking at them for a while. The little sofa in our living room is starting to look a bit past it, we've shortlisted 2, so we'll have to decide which one it's going to be.
There are no plans for today - the insides of the windows need cleaning, the window cleaner did the outside earlier in the week, but it's my most hated job, even though Dh helps. I'll have to woman up and do them though.
That's it for today, I hope to report tomorrow that we cleaned the windows.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good Sunday, take care folks.

Morning All
Sorry to those who have rain - it's a beautiful morning with hardly a cloud in the sky. The sun is shining on the washing - bedding and another load with dressing gowns in doing it's thing.
Yesterday's trip into town was good, bought myself a new smart watch and some much needed new bras. Lunch was really good but the little one wasn't well at all and had a nap whilst we were there! The train home only went half way, luckily it was cancelled when it got to DD's stop so she gave me a lift home. There was a fire near the track a bit further on.
Bathrooms have been cleaned, I'm just about to go shopping then the day is my own to potter about in the garden.
Hope you raised lots of money Florence.
Good luck with the window cleaning Scarlet. Choosing a new sofa is a daunting task.
I hope your DM is ok with your nephew staying RR.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX9 -

Morning all. It's raining again!
Yesterday's Celebration of Life went well and was very well attended. We stayed until they switched over to the disco music but had a clear run home up the M1. Earlier I had been very lucky to get a sandwich platter in Costco as they had all gone from the shelves when I arrived just before 11am. Luckily a shopper appeared and put one back on the shelf, as she'd decided she didn't need two, so I was able to take that one. As it was there was lots of food; mainly sandwiches, very little cake!
Today we are resting and recovering and probably watching the rugby on tv later. I have ironing to do and DH will cook lamb steaks with roast potatoes etc then I have a music session to go to this evening.
I hope everyone keeps dry and warm today; roll on Spring!11 -

Morning all
Guess what ? Raining again ! When will it ever end ! Getting really fed up with it now ! We have washing to dry so may have to resort to the TD as one load is already on the airer.
Roast beef for dinner today and I will do my beloved yorkshires they are the best part of the dinner for me I got a nice big joint so I’m hoping it will do us tomorrow too with chips or mash.
We need to have a quick tidy through ready for my guests tomorrow I should have two of them as the one that is often poorly said she is definitely coming - we shall see !
Dogs to be walked later and a cosy evening in front of the fire, I honestly can’t believe we are still having to light it, we have never had it on this late in the year !
Have good days all and take care xx10
