    I'd be letting the bank know that the other brother might attempt to access the account.  He likely knows enough about you to answer a lot of security questions so I'd rather be safe than sorry.  I'd also change any of your security answers to something random that only you will know.  So "mother's maiden name" might be logged a Ebenezer.  "Favourite colour" as Sicily. etc.  

    And for what it's worth - my mom's will states that one brother gets less due to a chunk of money given him with the amount noted.  Without something like this I think that past gifts need to be ignored as annoying as it might possibly be.

    Then, you can decide how much you want to help the resident sibling with repairs, from your share.
    So was I until re-reading things very carefully after your comment....wasn't made very clear (well at least to me) unfortunately so my comments are now probably not particularly relevant
