What a wet, dark miserable morning it is.  Due to dry up by lunchtime but I won't hold my breath.  Making gingerbread cake today and that's as far as I've got as to what else is in store today.  Hope it's a brighter day where you are

It's a lovely morning here, for a change!

Nothing planned, I suppose it'll be the usual tidying, perhaps the excitement of putting some washing in!

Morning, thanks for starting us off Chrisca. It's very cold and bright here though there's a thin layer of mist over the sea. 

Yesterday my morning was fine. I had only one student to invigilate , she was doing Advanced Higher French, I popped in my ear buds to listen to an audiobook which helps pass the three hours. Later on the meeting I had was fine too. It all meant that I didn't eat until nearly four o'clock. Then I cooked the blessed gammon joint! 

This afternoon I'm going to a two hour workshop about fermentation, how to do it. I've tried in the past to make sauerkraut without much success so I'm looking forward to learning how to do it properly. Theres a foraging walk before the workshop which I'm not going to.

Morning folks and thanks CHRISCA.  It's a bright start here too, but bitter cold! The forecast is for a dry day with the rain not arriving until this evening. Hmm we'll see.

I'm off down town shortly for a few bits and pieces but the shops that opened at 8.30 now don't open until 9.00 so no rush to be off. I'll poke my nose in Bon Marche whilst down and suss out their t-shirts, just in case we get some summer!

I have paid the price for asking the hairdresser to take just a little bit more off the top this time. As I feared I have been scalped all over. Oh well it will soon grow I suppose.

Morning all didn't get on the last few days as i have been making a concerted effort to de clutter and streamline this house its been driving me mad i needed to put a new filing cabinet in the dinning room pantry as the one in the lounge is too big so cleared that out then moved some bits to under the stairs hopefully someone will want the large cabinet otherwise it looks like it will be joining me on the tip run tomorrow.
The weather today is wet and looking to stay that way hopefully tomorrow will be better . Tonight we have friends coming for dinner so will probably do some indian food 
If anyone knows of where i can get good garage storage  racking and boxes please let me know as that is the next thing i am tackling

Gers - lucky you being able to do that in an exam. We’re not allowed to do anything at all. Happy fermenting! 

I think there’s rain due but that’ll mean I can get on with indoor stuff.   I did tidy the edge of the lawn where it had grown over the drive edge yesterday. Also finished up at the vet with B-dog who wasnt at all himself - seems better this morning though has an intermittent limp which is probably unrelated so will have to watch that too. 

Neighbours who are moving have loads of wood that I can have so going today to see what is suitable for my craft makes, and also have sewing to do.

Morning all. Dull but dry here at the moment.

We had an enjoyable 7.3 mile walk yesterday and then found a pub in a village close to where we'd parked the car and had a super late lunch. On the way round the walk we'd also unexpectedly come across a Community Cafe so sat in their garden with tea and cake as a very late elevenses I now need to go through the diary and find some other free dates as we have 3 sections of the walk to complete the Northampton Round and our friends are having a couple of big holidays this year so won't be as available.

This morning I shall be popping to Costco for one of their large mixed trays of sandwiches and then this afternoon we are at a Celebration of Life for the friend who died at Easter. Some of us have been asked to bring sandwiches to help out and others are providing cake.

Off for my second cuppa now. Have a good weekend.

Morning All

Bright and sunny here but rain due later, I'll strip the bed tomorrow as I'll be out for most of the day today.

DD's flat sale went through yesterday with no problems thank goodness, perhaps she will be a little less stressed now! They are taking me out for lunch in Glasgow today to say thank you for having the little one over the holidays which will be lovely, I'll go on the train and may have a little refreshment with my food.

Your day sounds interesting Gers, hope you enjoy it.
Seems like a few of us had a good haircut this week!
Hope you enjoy your break snoozer.
You do well with your walking WL.

Must nip to the allotment this morning to check the onions, none of the other plants are anywhere near ready to put out yet and we are still having frosty nights, hopefully it will warm up soon.

Morning everyone
Bright and sunny here this morning, it's been frosty through the night.
Great excitement in DDs house last night, she picked me up after tea to stay with little one for a bit while she went to pick up a little kitten. Little one had no idea and was so happy...made me feel quite emotional seeing her cuddling little Narla. Hopefully she's had a good night.
I'm going to do some fence painting out the back this morning and then go into town after lunch to get my hair cut. I'll have a look in the charity shops too and I have a prescription to pick up. Little one is coming for tea and a sleepover, we've her bean plant and sunflower to plant into bigger pots so she can help with that.

Morning all

Dry here for now but it’s been raining all night and more due this afternoon I have a wash on the go which will have to stay indoors on the airer, if we light the fire tonight it will help dry it off.

No plans for the day which is how I like it just the dogs to walk but OH will probably do that and some housework which if we all help it won’t take too long.

I really fancy a Chinese takeaway so might suggest one for dinner tonight it will save cooking and I’m sure OH and dd will be up for it.

Just got a joint of beef out of the freezer for tomorrow will ask mum if she wants to come but she has my nephew there who is staying for a while so she probably won’t come, he is a nightmare and I’m sure will be fleecing her for money as he always does, I hate how they use her but she won’t hear anything bad about them they can do no wrong even though they regularly steal from her 😡 it drives me mad !

Morning everyone it’s dry bright and frosty here for the moment I think rain is forecast later Gers that sounds interesting Dp1 I can see little Narla  getting spoilt I love cats TA I’ve give up telling my hairdresser what I want she does what she wants anyway I just keep thinking as long as it’s tidy . TAFF you are wearing me out with all your gardening talk slow down . Not a lot happening today just going to potter on it looks like I will have to try the doctors again on Monday I will need some more antibiotics I asked for 10 days because that s how long it takes to clear up when it’s happened before but I always have to go back and get some more they insist on only giving a weeks course hopefully the doctor will agree to just sending a prescription for me to pick up . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
