Ghostmouse or Mouse Recorder for Linux?

I need something similar to Ghostmouse or Mouse Recorder for Linux on a Synology NAS, anything available?
Installed a win10 virtual machine and that worked (almost) but rather resource heavy to leave running 24/7.
5x5 Grid of cubes that show a code when a mouse it hovered over it or opens if selected. I don't need to open
it but my Win10 test was only a print screen option that ran every 30 minutes, failed because although it showed
a blue A in a pink square the rest of the code is unknown.
I need to refresh the page (easy part) but I then need to record a short clip or take a screenshot with the mouse hovering
over each cube for a few seconds so the full code shows and recorded in some way.
Each cube/code is a fresh page and the website is a bit flaky at times so hovering the mouse over the cube is
a better option than trying to open each page.
Any simple options like the programs mentioned?
Thanks.
