There are plenty of sites to look for angel investors etc but 99% of proposals get nothing...

How much capital are you looking for -v- how much are you putting up?

Are you wanting an investor or a business partner?

Most small business raise funds from friends, family, remortgaging etc... most also fail.

In reality, if you don’t have a clear plan and at least some basic legal protection, it’s easy to fall into a trap. I recently came across an analysis about the risks of investment fraud - it’s written by lawyers and especially useful for those just starting out. I actually use it as a checklist now every time I talk to someone new.
